TDP stages protest

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Greater Visakhapatnam unit of the TDP on Monday organised a silent rally and a meeting condemning the hanging of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein.

TDP (Urban) president C.M.A. Zaheer Ahmed urged all democrats to condemn the hanging. Former MLA S.A.Rehman said the hanging of Saddam Hussein was a part of the US attempt to gain a stranglehold over poorer countries. Party leaders Sundaram Patrudu, Palla Simhachalam, Gudivada Nagamani and Bharanikana Rama Rao spoke.
