Reliance General Insurance opens branch

KOZHIKODE: The 51st branch office of the Reliance General Insurance in the country has started operations in Kozhikode.

K.A. Somasekharan, president and chief executive officer, inaugurated the branch at the Citadel Arcade on R.C. Road here on Tuesday.

This is the second office of the Reliance General Insurance in the State, the first being in Kochi. A release said the company would open branches in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram soon.

"We have identified Kerala as an important State for driving our future growth. Opening our branch office in Kozhikode is part of our plans to realise this potential. Soon we will be setting up more offices in the State," said Mr. Somasekharan.

Reliance General Insurance currently offers more than 80 customised insurance products for the retail and corporate sector.

The company recently launched its health insurance plan called Healthwise Policy, which has 16 key benefits.

All these products will be sold through its office in Kozhikode as well. Reliance General Insurance, subsidiary of Reliance Capital Ltd., offers a range of products for the corporate and individual customer with focus on customer-centric products, multiple distribution channels and technology.
