Man's body found in lake

BANGALORE: The body of Shivaji Rao (55), who had been missing since Friday, was found floating in the Ulsoor lake on Saturday.

The police said Shivaji Rao, an employee of Army Service Centre and a resident of Lakshmipura in Indiranagar, left his house on Friday morning after informing his wife that he was going to his workplace. When he did not return home, his wife lodged a missing complaint with the Ulsoor police on Friday night. The police are ascertaining whether it was a case of suicide or murder.

Body found

An unidentified man aged around 40 was found dead, with his throat slit, on the Dodda Begur tank bund in Electronics City police station limits on Saturday.

Passers-by, who noticed the body, informed the police. The police suspect that after killing the man somewhere else, the assailants had dumped the body on the tank bund. The Electronics City police have registered a case.

Ornaments recovered

The Koramangala police arrested Ravi (23) of Chitradurga district on a charge of theft and recovered from him gold ornaments worth Rs. 2 lakh.
