Three killed in separate road accidents

BANGALORE: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in the city since Friday night.

The police said Alagu (20), a construction worker, had a fatal fall while trying to board a moving bus in Upparpet traffic police station limits in the early hours of Saturday. The police said that around 1 a.m. Alagu and his friend Satyavelu lost balance and fell while trying to board the bus at the inter-State bus terminus. A native of Salem in Tamil Nadu, Alagu was working at a temple construction site at Channarayapatna in Hassan district. An injured Satyavelu has been admitted to Victoria Hospital. Mehabub Pasha (35) was killed on the spot when a lorry hit his bicycle on Tanisandra Main Road around 10.30 p.m. on Friday. Pasha was a resident of Hegdenagar.

In another incident, Shiva Kumar (23) was killed when a lorry rammed his motorcycle on Patalamma Temple Street in Basavanagudi traffic police station limits around 7.30 p.m. on Friday.

Injured

Three persons were injured when a car hit two motorcycles and another car near CPRI Gate on New BEL Road around 8 a.m. on Saturday. The injured, Manjunath, Vishwanath and Uma, have been hospitalised and they are out of danger. In another incident, Nagalakshmi (35), a pedestrian, was seriously injured when a goods vehicle hit her near her house at Lottegolahalli in R.T. Nagar traffic police station limits around 8.40 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
