NEW DELHI: The Janata Dal (United) on Monday removed rebel general secretary Shiv Kumar from the post and expelled him from the primary membership of the party. Mr. Kumar is a former Samata Party member. He is the prime mover behind attempts to revive the party in the name of former party president George Fernandes. On Sunday at a convention to revive the party, he said he was returning to the party fold.
