HYDERABAD: A special scheme `Aksharabhyasam' was introduced by the Department of Posts in association with Sri Ganapati Saraswati Temple coinciding with `Basantha Panchami' on Tuesday. Under this scheme, any devotee could request for blessings of the Goddess for their kids by payment of Rs. 75 at any post office, towards Aksharabhyasam. The list of devotees would be handed over to the temple authorities for performing Aksharabhyasam .
Post offices
The `Prasadam' would then be handed over by temple authorities, which would be delivered to the devotees through various post offices, according to a press release from Postmaster General Usha Chandrasekhar here.
Prasadam
The prasadam would consist of a magic slate, `pooja kum-kum' and `bandaru', laminated photo of Goddess Gnana Saraswathi, prasadam (misri) and kankanam (twine with knots).
