BANGALORE: If you think your age is coming in the way of developing your interest in singing, here is a chance to exhibit your talent. Vinmusiclub, an association of connoisseurs of vintage film music, is holding `Talaash' - a singing competition of old Hindi film hits. ' The speciality here is that the contest is exclusively for those who have crossed 50. The contestants can choose from hits of the Pankaj Mallick, K.L. Saigal, C. H. Atma, Talat Mehmood, Hemant Kumar, Manna Dey, Noor Jehan, Suraiyya, Geeta Dutt and Shamshad Begum. According to a release, the contest will be held in the second week of February, and will be open to men and women.
Film music shows
The finalists will be offered opportunities to perform in the vintage film music shows to be organised by the club. Those interested should apply with details and passport size photographs before February 5 to general secretary, Vinmusiclub, No 302, Akshaya Kuteera, M.M. Industries Road, 7th Block West, Jayanagar.
