President's police medals announced

133 to get Chief Minister's medal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following are the police officers named for the President's medal for meritorious and commendable service, announced in connection with the Republic Day celebrations.

Meritorious service: Alphonse Louis Erail, Additional Director General of police, A.P. Battalion; Sibi Mathews, Additional Director, Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau.

Commendable service: Y. Anil Kumar, Inspector General of Police (Administration); K. Natarajan, Superintendent of Police, Kasargod; Abraham Mathew, Superintendent of Police, SBCID, Eranakulam Range; K.P. Leelaram, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kochi city; A. Jayarajan, Assistant Commandant, Mangattuparamba; T.J. Joshi Joseph, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Special Cell, Kozhikode; Mathew Joseph, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Alappuzha; K.V. Thomas Mathew, Inspector, Kottayam; K.V. Raghavan Nair, Head Constable, CBCID, Kasargod; A. Nazimuddeen, Head Constable, SBCID, Kollam.

While 133 police personnel have been named for the Chief Minister's medal.

Five personnel from the Fire and Rescue Services and four personnel from the Jail Department also won the honour.
