BELLARY: A case of murder has been registered at the Cowl Bazaar Police Station in connection with a custodial death on Wednesday. Investigation is being handed over to the Corps of Detectives (CoD). Based on the report submitted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate who conducted the inquest of the body of Prasad Kondapalli (whose name and identity is yet to be confirmed) along with the post-mortem report given by forensic expert, which stated that the cause of death was shock and clotting of blood as a result of multiple blunt force injuries, it was said to be a case of culpable homicide. Meanwhile, B.S. Talwar, Police Inspector, has been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty. Earlier, Ramachanra Nayak, PSI, was also placed under suspension , a police press release said.
