Boy's fall into nala proves fatal

HYDERABAD: Abdul (8) got washed away after slipping into an open nala while playfully walking backwards at Himayatnagar on Saturday.

His body surfaced 100 metres away on the bank of the nala shattering his family members who nurtured hopes of his survival since the nala was not more than three feet deep.

Local residents started searching for the boy hoping to fish him out. To their shock, the body was found on the nala bank near St. Anthony's School.
