Medical bills online

HYDERABAD: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is providing online information (dme.ap.nic.in) on medical reimbursement bills. The facility will enable Government employees secure information on pending bills. DME has also made arrangements for clearance of the bills within 20 days. The facility will provide details of Government recognised hospitals, CGHS rates and information to be provided by applicants seeking reimbursement. - Special Correspondent

RTPS unit ready

KADAPA: Generation in the 210-mw third unit in Rayalaseema Thermal Power Station at Kalamalla in Yerraguntla mandal will commence on February 10, according to Chief Engineer of RTPS Krupasagar. All works in the plant have been completed, except the ashing system for sending out fly ash, he said. Turbines, generators and mills were ready and welding work on the HT and LT heater lines was in progress, he said. - Staff Reporter

Yechury to address classes

KADAPA: CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury and State Secretary B.V. Raghavulu will address the party's State-level political training classes at Kadapa from February 12 to 16, CPI(M) district secretary B. Narayana said on Saturday. The UPA Government was ignoring Common Minimum Programme and the State Government was adopting anti-people policies, he alleged at a press conference here. SHRC performance

KADAPA: The State Human Rights Commission has received 128 complaints alleging violation of human rights in January 2007 and 2,197 complaints during 2006, SHRC secretary Chellappa has said. The commission has disposed of 982 complaints so far. - Staff Reporter

Mala Mahanadu plea

HYDERABAD: Mala Mahanadu has threatened to launch a State-wide agitation if Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy failed to persuade the Centre to announce winding up of the Commission on categorisation of the Scheduled Castes by February 10. K. Shivaji, president of the organisation on Saturday said the commission would harm the interests of the Malas. - Special Correspondent
