Boy falls into uncovered septic tank, dies

HYDERABAD: A fifth standard student died after falling into an uncovered septic tank near his house at HMT Colony in Miyapur on Sunday.

Ten-year-old Prithvi Raj was going on a bicycle along with his friend Vamshi when he accidentally fell into the tank.

Vamshi immediately alerted passers-by who rescued the boy from the tank and shifted him to a nearby hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, according to the police.
