BANGALORE: The Ramamurthynagar Police have arrested six persons on charges of robbery and recovered from them gold ornaments, mobile phones and a motorcycle, all worth Rs. 1.50 lakh. The accused had allegedly waylaid lonely pedestrians and robbed them of valuables in Ashoknagar, Ulsoor, Fraser Town, Indiranagar and Ramamurthynagar police station limits, the police said. The arrested were identified as Prem Kumar (20), Ravi (18) and Nagaraja (25), all residents of Krishnaiahanapalya, Satish (18) of Ashoknagar, Aravind Babu (26) of A. Narayanapura and Sanjay Robert (18) of New Bayappanahalli. Three of the accused were caught while they were suspiciously moving on a motorcycle in Kasturinagar on February 4. On information given by them their accomplices were arrested later, the police said.
