HYDERABAD: Former BJP president M. Venkaiah Naidu has asked the UPA Government to evolve a consensus among all State Governments for creating a single central agency to deal with terrorism, smuggling of arms, money laundering and other organised crime. Such an agency was a long felt need that the BJP-led NDA Government recognised , Mr. Naidu said here on Saturday. He sought revival of the efforts in the light of recent experiences of terrorist organisations operating in different parts of the country. A specialised institution as suggested by the committee headed by former Solicitor General of India Soli Sorabjeealone could deal with the problem, the BJP leader said.
