Training programme on bio-fertilizer

TIRUCHI: The District Rural Development Agency and Bharathidasan University organised recently a three-day training programme on preparation of bio-fertiliser using coir pith and cyanobacteria. About 150 women self-help group members from Anthanallur panchayat participated.

P. Malliga, Reader, Department of National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria, delved on development and application of cyanobacterial bio-fertiliser for sustainable agriculture.

A hands-on training was offered by the expert team on bio-fertiliser preparation and their applications.

Certificates were issued to the participants at the end of the programme, a release said.
