NALGONDA: More than 200 persons were taken ill after consuming pulihora, the traditional tamarind rice served as prasadam, at a temple at Musipatla village in Mothkur mandal on Saturday night. According to information reaching here, the devotees visited the Siva temple to offer special prayers a day after Sivaratri. They were served pulihora as prasadam at the temple. Later they reportedly consumed water from the pond on the temple premises. After sometime they developed nausea and started vomiting. "Suddenly they started vomiting, creating panic among the villagers and some of them were even down with fever," a police officer said.
