Display of books
The British Library here has organised a special display of selected fiction books on its premises at 23, Prestige Takt, Kasturba Road Cross, from February 19 to February 24. The selection comprises works of popular fiction writers such as Dan Brown, Stephen King, H.G. Wells, Rudyard Kipling, P.D. James, Christopher Priest, James Seigel, Frederick Forsyth, A.S. Byatt, Meave Binchy, Alan Moore, Stephen Cole and Georgette Hyer. These books will be added to the library collection after February 26. Time extended
The National Institute of Fashion Technology attached to the Union Ministry of Textiles has extended the last date to March 2 for admission for 2007 for its various courses under design, management and technology. The applications are available at all branches of UTI Bank and NIFT centres. The last date for submission of applications is March 6. Selection
The list of candidates selected for the posts of male and woman civil police constables for Bangalore district, are displayed at the Bangalore District Police Headquarters and on the website (www.karnatakastate police.org), a press release from the Bangalore District Superintendent of Police said.
Exhibition
Under the "Thinala Chitra" programme, an art workshop and exhibition has been arranged at the Kannada Bhavan Chalukya section from February 19 to February 25. The participating artists are Akram Pasha Tumkur, Santhosh R. Vannikeri, Chidananda S. Suthara, Gulbarga and Prakash Raj, Mysore.
