Basketball tournament

Coimbatore: The first inter-engineering basketball tournament organised by the PSG College of Technology will be held at the PSG Tech courts here from February 22 to 24.

CDCA trials

The Coimbatore District Cricket Association (CDCA) will hold selection trials for its senior team to take part in the S.S. Rajan Trophy at the Sri Ramakrishna Cricket Trust nets in SNR Sons College in Coimbatore on February 26 at 3.30 p.m.

SNR tournaments

The SNR Sons College will conduct its 15th inter-collegiate cricket and volleyball tournaments at its campus here from February 22 to March 7.

Bakiraj scores century

A sparkling century by Bakiraj (117) and a breezy 60 by Alphonse helped DCW Cricket Club carve out a six-wicket victory over Pusco Cricket Club in the Tuticorin District Cricket Association first division league at Tuticorin recently.

The scores (first division): Pusco CC 210 for seven in 45 overs (Vinod 89) lost to DCW CC 215 for four in 34.2 overs (Alphonse 50, Bakiraj 117).

Chess tournament

Badminton tournament

Sri Jayavilas Tamil Nadu senior State-ranking badminton tournament, sponsored by Jaya Jothi group of companies and organised by Madurai District Badminton Association will commence at MGR Race course indoor stadium on February 23.
