Kanichukulangara case: accused gets bail

ALAPPUZHA : Alappuzha District and Sessions Judge D. Sreevallabhan on Wednesday granted conditional bail to Saju alias Mrigam Saju, the third accused in the Kanichukulangara murder case.

The prosecution accused that Saju was the main plotter in the case.

The court accepted the argument of Saju's counsel in the changed circumstances following the arrest of sixth accused in the case N.S. Sajith.

The court dismissed the argument of the prosecution that the accused might influence witnesses in the case if granted bail.

While granting bail, the court asked Saju not to enter the limits of Mararikkulam police station, the centre of investigation, and not to leave the country.
