Blessing ceremony at DPS North

BANGALORE: Delhi Public School (North), Yelahanka, organised a colourful and poignant blessing ceremony for 10th standard students, who will soon write their board exams. The programme began with an invocation song followed by the "tilak" ceremony, where ninth standard students wished their seniors all the best. The students then recited from the scriptures of different religions.

Later, students of Class XI shared their experiences with their juniors on the ways to beat exam blues.

Outgoing students spoke of their school life and thanked the principal, teachers and their peers, crediting their gurus for instilling in them the confidence to face the future.

Principal Sneh Preet Sial urged the students to be achievers, aiming for the best. She said the board examinations were "an important phase in the long, rewarding and enriching journey that began 10 years ago."

Valedictory function

The valedictory function at The Oxford Senior Secondary School, J.P. Nagar, was a joyous occasion. The programme began with the presentation of a report on co-curricular activities (CCA) held during the year. The CCA coordinators appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students.

Principal Mariamma George gave away the prizes to winners. She told students to achieve their goal with diligence and not to be discouraged by failures. The Rangers walked away with Outstanding Winners trophy. The programme concluded with the captains and vice-captains of various houses handing over their respective badges with a touch of sadness.
