Essay competitions

NEW DELHI : The Central Board of Secondary Education in collaboration with the Union Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Ministry will conduct essay competitions on "Road Safety" and "Vehicular Pollution" for all its affiliated schools.

The topic under "Road Safety" that is meant for students of Classes VIII and IX -- is "Human Beings and Road Accidents", while for "Vehicular Pollution" for Classes X to XII it is "Controlling Vehicular Pollution is a Social Need".

The competition will be conducted in the last week of February. The medium of the essays will be English, Hindi and all the Indian languages included in the 8th Schedule.
