AIADMK cadre celebrate Jayalalithaa's birthday

CHENNAI: Special prayers, food distribution and aid to the poor marked the 59th birthday celebrations of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa here on Saturday.

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam presidium chairman E. Madhusoodhanan released a souvenir on the occasion at the party headquarters. Headquarters secretary K.A. Sengottaiyan received the first copy. Mr. Madhusoodhanan also cut a cake weighing 59 kg. Party office-bearers, district secretaries, MPs and MLAs participated. Former Deputy Prime Minister L.K.Advani, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Vaiko and Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh conveyed their greetings to Ms. Jayalalithaa.
