Cauvery: Sonia's intervention sought

NEW DELHI: Congress Member of Parliament Janardhana Poojary has urged Congress President Sonia Gandhi to advise the Centre not to notify the final award of the Cauvery Water Tribunal.

In a letter to Ms. Gandhi on Sunday, he sought a meeting of the Chief Ministers concerned, chaired by the Prime Minister, to discuss and settle the issue "amicably."
