Be committed to the profession you choose, students told



VEGETABLES AND HEALTH: Tiny tots of Twinklers Vidyaniketan perorming during their annual day.

BANGALORE: National Public School, Koramangala, held the graduation ceremony for the students of Class 12 recently. It was a day of mixed emotions for the graduating students and their parents.

V.S. Arunachalam, former Defence Scientific Adviser and Secretary of Ministry of Defence, presided over the ceremony. Mr. Arunachalam said students should be committed to their chosen profession because in today's world they are at liberty to chose subjects of their interest and make a success of their lives. The chief guest and the chairman presented each student with an oath scroll and CD of their reminiscences and experience in the school. Students and parents shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude to the mentors. Santhamma Gopalakrishna, Dean of NPS Schools and Ms. Bindu lit the candles of the students.

The students then sang the school song holding the lit candles. The ceremony ended with the "good-bye" song sung in chorus by the graduating students.

Annual day

Twinklers Vidyaniketan, Nagarabhavi, held its annual day recently. Kannada writer H.C. Shanthaveeraiah was the chief guest. He exhorted the students to learn as many languages as possible as it would help them.

The guests distributed prizes to meritorious students. The cultural programme included yoga display and various dance forms of the country.
