Protests at seven centres against "propagation" of Christianity in Tirumala

HYDERABAD: The Tirumala Tirupati Samrakshana Samiti (TTSS) will organise hunger strikes at seven centres here on March 10, protesting against "propagation" of Christianity in Tirumala.

N.V. Muralidhar, general secretary, in a press release called upon members of different temple committees and bhajan mandalis, besides devotees, to take part in the fast.

He said on January 28 a woman staffer of the TTD was caught propagating Christianity in a private hospital. She was later transferred to the TTD hospital, he alleged.

This was proof to show that propagation of other religions was still on despite denial by the TTD and the Government.
