CHIKMAGALUR: Bandeppa Kashempur, Minister for Agriculture, expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of officials with regard to implementation of schemes under the watershed development programme. Reviewing the progress achieved by his department in the implementation of various schemes in Kadur on Saturday, Mr. Kashempur was irked when officials did not provide information on the number of farm ponds dug to increase the number of underground water sources. Directing officials to implement the schemes on time, he said he has received complaints about differences in the price of agricultural implements in Raitha Samparka Kendras. Pointing out that the price should be uniform in all centres, he said action would be taken against those who do not conform to the rules. He instructed officials to obtain reports from all the 32 centres and determine the price at which implements were being sold at these centres.
