Signal School celebrates anniversary

KOCHI: Signal School, the premier training institution in the field of `Naval Communications and Electronic Warfare' of Indian Navy, celebrated its 49th anniversary on Thursday. The institution has trained communication personnel of the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, friendly navies, Port authorities and Customs.

The school is ISO-certified and is affiliated to CUSAT as the 'Centre for Defence Communications and Electronic Warfare'.

In keeping with Naval tradition, S. Diwedi, the youngest sailor, along with the senior-most serving alumnus of Signal School Vice-Admiral Jagjit Singh Bedi, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, cut the anniversary cake.

Vice-Admiral Bedi released the school's professional magazine 'Callsign'. Capt. M.S. Chandrashekar, Officer-in-Charge, Signal School, welcomed the gathering.
