CHENNAI: Loyola College on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) for a range of academic exchanges. The MoU with Singapore's oldest not-for-profit institution focuses on developing quality programmes that include learning and sharing of teaching expertise, training, academic development and improving capacities to serve industries both in India and Singapore. Loyola College principal Fr. Albert Muthumalai and MDIS secretary-general R. Theyvendran were signatories to the MoU. Mr. Theyvendran said the MDIS looked to enhance knowledge sharing and exchanging an array of proactive ideas in enriching the student curriculum. Fr. Muthumalai said the college recognised the added value in partnering with an institution that was committed to providing quality education at affordable cost. The MoU takes effect for the new batch of students who start academic year 2007-08.
