Workshop for English teachers

The BHS First Grade College in association with The Forum of College English Teachers has organised a one-day workshop for college English teachers on Thursday. The workshop will deliberate second semester BA/B.Sc./B.Com. English course and explore the possibilities of arriving at a broad outline for framing general English syllabus for Bangalore University degree classes. Those interested may contact D. Property recovered

The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force has recovered two acres of land belonging to Karnataka Land Army Corporation and about half an acre of land belonging to Revenue Department at Singasandra on Hosur Road, which had been encroached. A release said the Land Army and the Revenue Department took possession of the property after the removal of encroachments by BMTF on Sunday.

Deposit mobilisation

The Canara Bank, Malleswaram branch, launched mobilisation of core deposits after undertaking door-to-door campaign. The officials met more than 200 prospective depositors in and around Malleshwaram area, a release added.

College fest

The Institute of Finance and International Management, Bangalore will organise Guerra 2007-Battle of the Era, a national level fest for colleges from Thursday. A release said that a national level fest for corporate employees would be held on March 17 during which over 10 events or games would be held at IFIM B School campus in Electronics City.
