NEW DELHI: The Budget Session of the Delhi Assembly will begin this Wednesday. Lieutenant-Governor B. L. Joshi will address the House and vote-on-account for the next four months will be placed before the House in view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections, Speaker Prem Singh announced at a press conference here on Monday. Mr. Prem Singh said while on Wednesday the vote-on-account would be presented by the Finance Minister for April to July, the main Budget would be presented in the session to be held from April 11 to 23. Being the first session of the year, Lieutenant-Governor Joshi, who resumed his official duties at Raj Niwas on Monday as he was on leave on health grounds earlier, will address the House at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Discussion on his Address will begin on April 11, Mr. Prem Singh said. On Wednesday, the 11th Report of the Business Advisory Committee will also be presented. And since the term of the Financial Committees -- Public Accounts Committee, Estimate Committee and Committee on Government Undertakings -- will be ending the same day, the Chief Minister will move a motion for their election.
