Police handicapped with few clues to track the woman involved in 4 sensational abductions

HYDERABAD: Sounds strange, but it is true. Police in the State capital are praying that the woman suspect responsible for the abduction of four boys in the past six weeks strikes for the fifth time!

This is because the police have few clues to track the woman in the four sensational abductions. "In the absence of clues, the only option is to weave a net to catch her by revamping our intelligence network and bide our time," a police officer associated with the investigation remarked.

All that the police know about the suspect is that she is dark, lean, has a ponytail, is in her mid-20s and has a burn scar on the neck. But these details are of little help to the police. Moreover, the woman and her gang seem to be closely following investigation of the police and are always a step ahead. Police collected descriptive particulars of the suspect after speaking to eyewitnesses in the first three cases. They launched a massive campaign asking people to be careful about her by circulating details such as the Punjabi dress she wore.

Interestingly, the woman changed her attire when she struck in Sanathnagar on Wednesday by taking away the six-month-old boy Karthik from his mother Padma. She wore a T-shirt that completely covered her neck, a middy, a pair of socks and sandals. The suspect did not apply the typical red vermilion this time.

"She used the T-shirt apparently to cover the burn scar on neck from being identified," the police said. The kidnapper was seen using a mobile phone and shifted the boys in three-wheelers in earlier cases.

For some reason, she avoided travelling in an autorickshaw while taking away the boy from Sanathnagar.

Eyewitnesses saw her crossing the railway track on foot. After walking for some distance, she made a call from a public call office.
