BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday directed the State Government to halt all construction activity at Bilekere Gudda in Karwar district.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph and Justice B.S. Patil passed this order on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition in which the construction of a building at the port at Bilekere Gudda was coming up.

Adjourned

Justice Mohan Shanatangouder on Thursday adjourned to next week bail petitions by several persons of Hospet taluk accused in the murder of former MLA and JD(S) leader Bheemaneni Kondaiah.
