BANGALORE: Representatives of non-governmental organisations working in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention are participating in a two-day workshop to discuss the modalities to implement Paediatric Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) programme in Karnataka, being funded by the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation is funding the national paediatric ART programme with a specific focus on children of sex workers, who are afflicted by HIV/ AIDS. It is learnt that the foundation has earmarked $ 106 per child a year. Senior officials of Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society (KSAPS) and CRS are taking part in the discussion.
