BANGALORE: Angry passengers smashed the glass panes of the Air Deccan counter at the Bangalore airport early on Saturday after missing their flight because the airline reportedly did not issue boarding passes to them on time. Fifteen passengers who were to travel to Mumbai by the flight, scheduled to take off at 5.50 a.m., could not make the journey because they did not get their boarding passes. After heated arguments with airline staff, some passengers smashed the glass panes of the airline's counter 2. They complained that though they had reached the airport well in time, the airline staff did not issue them boarding passes. An Air Deccan spokesperson told The Hindu that those who did not arrive to collect the boarding passes before the 30-minute deadline were the ones who failed to emplane. However, the 15 passengers were accommodated on the next flight to Mumbai.
