BANGALORE: Police have imposed restrictions on movement of vehicles around the Vidhana Soudha on Sunday in view of a function organised at the Vidhana Soudha to confer the Karnataka Ratna award on Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of Sri Siddaganga Math, Tumkur. According to a press release from Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao, movement of vehicles will be banned from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, from K.R. Circle to Police Thimmaiah Circle, and on Nrupathunga Road, from K.R. Circle to Police Corner. Vehicles coming from K.R. Circle can pass through the Cubbon Park. There will be no restriction on vehicles going towards Raj Bhavan and Coffee Board junction through Police Thimmaiah Circle. BMTC buses going towards Shivajinagar from Seshadri Road and Mysore Bank Circle can pass through Palace Road, AG's office junction, Basaveshwara junction and LRDE junction. Id-Milad processions coming from Balekundri Circle have to pass through Parsi Temple, CTO junction, Queen's statue and Siddalingaiah Circle to reach the YMCA grounds on Nrupathunga Road, the release said.

Invitees and VVIPS coming to the award presentation ceremony have to park their vehicles near the Vikasa Soudha after entering the Vidhana Soudha premises through the West Gate. The public have to park their vehicles inside Cubbon Park: in front of NGO Club, on the roads leading to Siddalingaiah and KGID Cross.
