Three pedestrians killed in road accidents

Two employees knocked down fatally near their factory on Hosur Road

BANGALORE: Three pedestrians, including two employees of a factory on Hosur Road, were killed in road accidents on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday night. The police said Vishwanath (38) and Rajagopal (29), employees of a private factory, were killed on the spot after a multi-utility vehicle knocked them down near their workplace on Hosur Road. They were on night shift and were returning to the factory after dinner. Vishwanath and Rajagopal were residents of Bommanahalli. The Hebbugodi police have seized the vehicle that was coming to Bangalore from Tamil Nadu and arrested the driver Nagaraj.

A man aged around 45 was killed on the spot after a jeep hit him while he was crossing Bellary Road, off Jakkur aerodrome, around 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yelahanka traffic police have seized the jeep and registered a case.
