BANGALORE: Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy and Maharashtra Governor S.M. Krishna have condoled the death of writer Devendrakumar Hakari and leader of Hyderabad Karnataka liberation movement Shivamurthy Swamy Alavandi. In his condolence message, Mr. Kumaraswamy said that the death of Prof. Hakari had created a vacuum in Kannada literary world. In a message from Mumbai, Mr. Krishna said that the late Jawaharlal Nehru had addressed Alavandi as "tiger of Karnataka".
