In a report "Agni-III test: Jakarta ATC [Air Traffic Control] was informed" (April 14, 2007, page 1), the expansion of NOTAM was incorrectly given as "Notice to Aviators and Mariners". It should have been "Notice To Airmen". The strapline and text of a report "Bring backward States into mainstream" economist [Raja J. Chelliah]" (Tamil Nadu, April 16, 2007) stated that there are more than 300 billion poor in India. It was an error. It should have been 300 million. A report "Provide affordable treatment for diseases, doctors told" (Karnataka, April 14, 2007, page 4), on the national conference on "Parasitic diseases", seemed to suggest that malaria, dengue, cholera, filaria, bird flu and chikungunya are on the rise and are parasitic diseases. Malaria and filaria are caused by parasites, dengue, chikungunya and bird flu by different viruses, and cholera by a bacterium. In a report "Liverpool, Milan advance to semifinals" ("Sport", April 13, 2007), it was wrongly mentioned in the strapline that Peter Crouch scored the English side's winner at Eindhoven. The second leg was played at Anfield, and not Eindoven. It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible.
