Enough fire to make a movie

BANGALORE: Scores of movies on the underworld have been made in Kannada. People had taken with a pinch of salt the claims made by moviemakers that these films were based on real incidents.

But it looks as if the movie in the making "Aa Dingalau" is definitely going to be the real thing. For, the man behind the film is none other than Sridhar, who "had trod the underworld path for years" before launching the Kannada weekly, "Agni", a decade ago.

Sridhar, whose autobiography "Daadagiriya Dinagalu" was a hit, has written the story for the film, which will be directed by Chaitanya, son of the Kannada writer Maralusiddappa.
