Rupee ends lower against $


MUMBAI: The rupee eased marginally and ended at 41.97/98 on Tuesday against the U.S. currency, six paise lower from 41.90/92 owing to dollar purchases by importers as well as oil corporates.

The local currency touched the intra-day high of 41.65 a dollar in late morning dealings.

The interbank foreign exchange market continued to witness active trade with the Indian currency moving in a wide range of 41.98 and 41.65 during the day. — PTI
