B.Ed. examination
rescheduled
Bangalore University has rescheduled the B.Ed. 1st Semester examinations to commence from May 2. It was earlier scheduled to start on April 23. Consequently, the reopening of B.Ed. colleges has been revised from May 2 to May 14. A revised calendar of events will be issued shortly, a University release said.
Animal Welfare fortnight
Animal Welfare Fortnight 2007 will be observed by Karuna Animal Welfare Association of Karnataka to commemorate Basava Jayanthi. A release said a pet adoption programme has been organised on April 22 at 10.30 a.m. The programme will be held at Karuna Animal Shelter, Veterinary College campus, Hebbal. Homa at Palace today
Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, former MP, said on Thursday that the Bangalore Palace will host a Sahasra Chandika Mahayaga from Friday. The yaga is being performed for good rainfall and general well being of the State. Nearly 350 purohits would be taking part in the five-day event, and a mass feeding has been organised on April 24.
Feel like a genius
Inox at Garuda Mall has lined up a host of fun, games and contests around Walt Disney's latest animated movie, "Meet the Robinsons", this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, children get contest forms along with the tickets with questions based on the movie. Children will get to pose as Einstein, donning a wig, glasses and lab coat and get their photographs clicked. They can display their creative skills by designing something new from the material provided to them. Inox will give away movie merchandise like paper puzzles, foam puzzles, water bottles, memo pads and magic balls from Disney.
Homoeopathy Day
