NEW DELHI: The 2007 IBSF Under-21 World snooker championship will be held in Goa this September. The coastal State will be the new destination for the cue sport, which is aiming to tap the non-traditional cities to bring in new life in the sport. India was recently awarded the championship at the Executive Board meeting of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS). The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) then picked Goa as the venue. "The dates for the 10-day championship would be decided shortly as another green baize event in scheduled in the same month," said the BSFI Vice-president, Ravi K. Tandon. The meeting also decided to incorporate Mr. Tandon as the member of the Finance Committee of the ACBS, the apex body of cue sport in Asia.
