SRINAGAR: The first security camp set up in the interior city after the onset of militancy in Kashmir has been vacated by the forces after 17 years, officials said on Wednesday. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vacated the Nowhatta camp last evening, making it the third place in Srinagar from where the paramilitary troops have checked out after Qamarwari and Jamalatta. In near future, some more camps in the city would be relocated, a CRPF spokesman said. The relocation was done in view of improvement in the security situation. -PTI
