Applications

The Karnataka Parents' Association will issue application forms for diploma courses in special education for the academic year 2007-08 for the mentally challenged from April 30 on its premises, AMC Compound, off Hosur Road, near Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. Vaccination

The Karuna Animal Welfare Association of Karnataka has organised a free anti-rabies vaccination camp for dogs to commemorate Basava Jayanthi on April 29 at nine locations between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Karuna has also arranged for issue of dog licences by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike on payment of the required fee.

Dak Adalat

The Chief Post Master General, Karnataka Postal Circle, will hold a Dak Adalat on postal complaints on May 30 at the office of the CPMG, Palace Road, Bangalore. Those who wish to present postal-related grievances may write to the Assistant Director (PO), office of the CPMG, Palace Road, Bangalore 560001, so as to reach before April 30, said a release.

Advice

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has asked citizens of Bangalore not to let rainwater from the roof into the underground drainage as it will overflow from the manholes. The board has asked citizens to harvest rainwater instead, during the rainy season.

Interruption

There will be interruptions in power supply on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to maintenance work in the following areas: Shivajinagar, Thimmaiah Road and surrounding areas.

Extra coaches

The South Western Railway has said that to clear extra rush, a two-tier AC coach and a three-tier AC Coach will be added to train number 2429/2430 Bangalore-Nizamuddin-Bangalore City Rajdhani Express. The extra coaches will be available from April 23 to June 30 for the train leaving for Nizamuddin and from April 25 to July 2 for the train leaving for Bangalore.
