Arjun stretched

MUMBAI: Arjun Khade was stretched to the decider before getting the measure of Chiraa Igoor in a boys' under-16 first-round match of the all-India ranking junior tennis 2007 (co-sponsored by DHFL and IOC) on Tuesday.

The aggressive Maharashtra strokeplayer dropped the second set 4-6 to the Karnataka youngster before clawing back to a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory and a rightful place in the second round. Mansingh Athare announced his intentions with a fluent 6-2, 6-1 win over Keshav Parthasarthy.
