Woman beaten up for `black magic'

Sangareddy: A woman, Kuttala Papamma, 67, was tied to a tree and beaten up by her relatives suspecting that she was performing black magic against them in Chittapur village here. The police later rescued here. She was admitted to Siddipet hospital. Bhumpalli SI M. Surender said that ten suspects had been identified. — Staff Reporter

Constable dies of sun stroke

KADAPA: V. Srinivasulu, 27, constable in the Vallur police station, died of sunstroke on Tuesday evening. He had returned to the station after duty and collapsed. When he was taken to the RIMS hospital, doctors declared him brought dead. — Staff Reporter
