BANGALORE: A little bit of Karnataka was on show in China with India-China Friendship Association (ICFA), Karnataka, taking a cultural troupe to that country last month. A group of 11 artistes headed by ICFA General Secretary V. Bhaskaran showcased Kannada songs, Yakshagana, Koli Nritya, Tamasha, Garba and Kathak. "The team visited Nanjing, Changshou and Wuxi in China and received a warm welcome and good response from the people and the Government," ICFA president Kagodu Thimmappa told presspersons here on Saturday. He said that the Chinese would return the favour by coming to Karnataka with a 17-member team in September or October. The team would comprise talented opera performers and acrobats, he added.
