Prime Minister's programme in city today

CHENNAI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will arrive at the Chennai airport at 5.40 p.m. on Friday.

He will participate in a public meeting being organised at Island Grounds to mark the completion of 50 years of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi as a member of the Legislative Assembly.

The Prime Minister will start for the meeting venue from the airport at 5.45 p.m. and reach Island Grounds at 6 p.m.

The meeting is scheduled between 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

According to the tentative tour programme, Mr. Singh will start from Island Grounds at 8.35 p.m. to reach the airport at 8.50 p.m.

He will depart from the Chennai Airport, for New Delhi, by an IAF Boeing aircraft at 8.55 p.m.
