Boy killed in accident

A seven-year-old boy was killed after he was run over by a lorry at Kondapur on Wednesday. The boy, H. Chennakeshavulu, was crossing the road when the accident occurred. The lorry driver is absconding, the police said.

Student commits suicide

A B.Com second-year student hanged herself to death at her house at Saroornagar on Wednesday. The police said Sandhya Rani (20) was a student of a private degree college in Dilsukhnagar.

Constable ends life

A constable of Golconda police station, B. Anantha Reddy (52), committed suicide by consuming poison at his paramour's house in Ramnagar on Wednesday. A suicide note purportedly written by Reddy, was recovered in which he stated that he was killing himself due to alleged harassment by his paramour. He was a resident of Old Malakpet.
