Raipur: The 10-month-old conjoined male twins, successfully separated on Tuesday in the Raipur Medical College Hospital are fine and doing well, doctors said on Wednesday. ``Both Ram and Lakshman are fine and doing well,'' Deputy Superintendent of the Raipur Medical College Hospital, Dr. M. P. Pujhari, told PTI here. The doctors were satisfied about their recovery, he said, adding that the babies are on intravenous drips. Oral feeding will start shortly. The infants were conscious, said Dr. Salim P. V.

However, the healing would take about a week and the doctors were very particular in guarding against any infection, said physician Professor Kamal Kishore Sahare.
Although it was a risky procedure, the doctors were satisfied with the parameters of both the babies, Dr. Ashok Sharma, Head of the Department of Surgery, who led the operation, said. PTI
